How a Three Cinnamons roll should feel

We don't rush them. The dough proves slowly, the cinnamon goes on thick, and nothing leaves the kitchen unless it's soft enough to pull apart with two fingers.

The smell

Warm cinnamon, brown sugar and butter reach you before the door has closed behind you. It's the smell of somebody baking for you.

The pull

Unwind the outer swirl and it stretches, soft and a little sticky, with a golden, caramelised edge that's slightly crisp.

The frosting

Tangy cream cheese, sweet but never sickly, poured on warm so it sinks into every groove instead of sitting on top.

The centre

Save it for last. The middle is the softest, most cinnamon-soaked bite of the whole roll. Everybody knows it.

Three Cinnamons is a small café. A handful of us bake, brew and serve everything you eat here, and most mornings we're in before the sun, shaping the first trays.

We know a lot of our regulars by name, and by order. Pull up a chair on the terrace, stay as long as you like, and let us look after you.
